RELEASE OF PARISHIONER INFORMATION:  In order to comply with the federal Privacy Act, Christ Church will not release personal information regarding parishioners to anyone, including other parishioners, without permission.  If you need to contact a person on our parish list, please call or email the office, and we will request permission to release email addresses and phone numbers on an as-needed basis.  Thank you for your understanding.

MORNING PRAYER:  Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday Morning Prayer services will be cancelled from June 20th to July 4th. Please join Rev. Jason on Thursday mornings at 9:30am for Morning Prayer in the Sanctuary.

Starting in July: Morning Prayer will be offered four days a week – Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at 9:30am with Rev. Don.  There will be no bible study on Thursdays during the summer.

NOTICE OF SERVICE CHANGES FOR CANADA DAY WEEKEND: Please note the following service times for Sunday, July 2nd.

8am – Holy Eucharist at Christ Church

9:30am – Ecumenical Service in Memorial Park

No 10am Service at Christ Church

SUMMER STUDY SERIES: BEING CHRISTIAN:  Join Rev. Don and others for a four week study series! We will meet on Tuesday mornings from 10:00 – 11:30 starting July 4th for an engaging discussion of Archbishop Rowan Williams’ book Being Christian. Released two years ago, Being Christian is an accessible and engaging book on the essentials of the Christian life: Baptism, Bible, Eucharist and Prayer. With thought-provoking questions, Williams challenges to consider the very fundamentals of our faith life. Being Christian is a brief book and is available on-line or at your local bookstore.

DEACON AL FUND: Save your spare change this summer in support of the Deacon Al Fund, which helps those in need in our church and community. For more information, speak to Anne Simons, Shirley Rehill or the office.

63rd FLAME CONFERENCE:  October 27th to October 29th at Jackson’s Point Salvation Army Conference Centre.  Conference theme is: “Transformed by the Truth” – Romans 12:1-2 with guest speaker Rev. Warren Leibovitch of St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Lindsay.  First time attendees pay just $150.00. Early-Bird registration $225.00 (double occupancy) ends July 31st. ACCOMODATION WANTED:  I am a senior lady who has been on a list for subsidized housing for 8 years but I am still waiting. I am in a summer trailer park which closes in October.  If anyone has accommodation to rent on a temporary basis until I get seniors’ housing, please call Evelyn Thistel at 905-722-6369. Thank you.
