Local Outreach

The Outreach team encourages members of our congregation to reach out to each other and to the community, to bring suggestions for projects to consider in the parish and community so we can, together, continue our “mission in action” in Stouffville. Our mandate is to be aware of the needs in our church community and further afield and show in word and action God’s love to all. Local Outreach supports the following:

  • The Deacon Al Fund, which enables us to assist people in need in our parish
  • Yellow Brick House and Porter Place by providing gently used, clean and warm winter wear collected in our annual Winter Clothing Drive
  • Brunch with Santa, held each year in December, where we raise funds for projects like colouring books for Pikangikum
  • Aluminum tabs collected to purchase wheelchairs for third-world countries
  • The local Stouffville Food Bank
  • York Region Children’s Aid, where we answered the call for backpacks in September
  • Community Care Access Centre, where we heard from guest speaker Linda Stride to help us understand how to get help for our loved ones
  • Eyeglass collection for third-world countries, such as Ghana
  • “Brown Bag” lunches with special guest speakers of interest to our parishioners
