Anglican Church Women

Our purpose is to enable women in Worship, Learning and Service, to integrate into parish life and to meet other women . With our Worship, Learning and Service we invite all women of the parish to join us in Fellowship and to build on many friendships, to share their stories in faith at our breakfast meetings and throughout the year.

The ACW supports families in our church, as well as LOFT, Rose of Sharon, Yellow Brick House and Sandgate locations with large amounts of personal care items each year.

The ACW also gives a warm welcome to every young family that comes to Christ Church. Their ‘Blankets for Babies’ programme has donated blankets made by our parishioners to newborns since 2011.  In 2016, two blankets were presented to families in our parish. For more information about or donations to this part of the ACW ministry, please contact Hope Franklin.

Each year the ACW recognizes one outstanding woman, who through various ways, goes above and beyond to demonstrate God’s love to others by giving their time and efforts to supporting the ACW in all they do in the church and in the community.  The ACW Woman of the Year for 2016 is Beverley Whittaker. Congratulations Beverley!

If you have questions about ACW or the events the group hosts or sponsors, please contact the office, Diane Ferguson or any member of the ACW.
